The Quick diet is a jump start to help you start your new way of eating, this program menu is only to be used for 2 to 3 days about every 3 to 4 weeks, in addition to the low fat meals, as shown on the sample menus page, until you reach a desired weight. If you only do it for a day and stick with a reduced calorie and reduced fat meals, that is still good.
It is broken down into 2 age groups
11 & 12 yrs and 13 and older
(13 and up can use 11&12 yr. menu)
A shaker cup or a cup with a lid, is what we use, you can pick one up at a health food store.
11 & 12 yr. 13 & up
Breakfast
1, Carnation Instant Breakfast-no sugar added powder packet.(Put it in a shaker cup with 9, 10, or 11 ounces of 1% milk or less fat milk if you like, add whole ice cubes not crushed about 3 or 4, shake until powder is dissolved). Add straw!
1, fat free fig newton or a half of a half of a thin grocery store type bagel, I know thats a 1/4 bagel, with light butter or 1/3 fat cream cheese.
Lunch
1, Carnation Instant Breakfast-no sugar added powder packet.
Handfull of pretzel sticks or
animal crackers about 7 or 8 small kind. Some of the lightly frosted kind are not that high in fat or cal. look at info on back of bag.
Dinner
A Healthy Choice or Lean
Cuisine or Smart Ones, small package, that are listed as being under 400 calories and 9 or less grams fat.
About 1/4 cup- a few scoops of natural apple sauce, sprinkle a little cinnamon on top
medium glass - orange juice,
100% juice, or 1% milk
medium glass approx.
7-12oz.
or 1 can diet beverage
1, reduced fat Oreo cookie
Breakfast
1, scoop Slim-Fast Optima powder your choice of flavor
(Put it in a shaker cup with 9, 10, or 11 ounces of 1% milk or less fat milk if you like, add whole ice cubes not crushed about 3 or 4, shake until powder is dissolved). Add straw!
optional- drink 1 of the ready to drink cans. optional- take one of the cans pour it in your shakercup, add 2 ounces milk, and ice cubes, and shake.
