     My story, Hi I`m Mike, I live in Sterling Heights MI, a nice suburb
close by the water. I am 14 and in 8th grade. I went to Anita's Theater
and Dance for 6 years. I love acting and was in a movie also. I am very active I play baseball and other sports, and I volunteer at a local summer camp. I sound pretty normal right. I am thanks to my mom.
      If I were to eat like a normal kid 3 reg. meals a day and some snacks in between, I would be huge. My mom caught it right away and showed me how to eat right without eating salads and skinless chicken and foods like that all the time. I can get heavy real quick, if I am not careful. If that does happen, my mom doesn`t say that` s okay. My mom will let me know when I start looking heavy. That's tough love, I will sometimes even drink Slimfast for 2 meals, as shown in Quick Diet and a light meal. On this web site I want to show what I have learned. For example when you hear the word Slim-Fast or diet and kids in one sentence, it is not bad. It is being careful, and not being laughed at because your heavy, or clothes not fitting good, or feeling like you have less energy. Kids who are heavy also have a greater risk of health problems, like type 2 diabetes and high cholesterol, that can lead to heart disease.  We do enjoy the traditional holiday meals,  and meals on special occasions. Or on the weekend if I want a slice of pizza. Then I go back to being careful. Just because there is no law with food, doesn't mean we can eat whatever we want, whenever we want. I hope kids and adults will get some tips from this site, and by the way,
